100 Anniversary

100-Year Anniversary Celebration

First Church of Christ

The Elkins First Church of Christ had its beginning over one-hundred years ago
in a tent meeting held during the winter of 1910. On August 27, 28 and 29 of
year 2010 we celebrated our 100th anniversary & Homecoming . The
happenings during this event were as follows:

Friday, August 27
7:00pm: Informal Get Acquainted/Reacquainted Time

Saturday, August 28
2:00pm: Games (on the lot across from the church or shade
for those who just want to relax and visit)
5:00pm: Picnic
7:00pm: Singspiration

Sunday, August 29
8:30-9:15am coffee donuts social room
9:15am: A time of sharing and remembering through pictures and video
10:30am: Worship Service
12:30 pm Dinner

Speaker: Wendell Roberts- Wendell is the son of Wendell Roberts who served as minister
from 1960-1966.

Following the morning worship service on Sunday, everyone enjoyed a potluck
dinner and time of fellowship.
